Why hasn’t somebody put wings on one of those yet to see how far it’ll glide? :)

I’m guessing the Nevada horror story is prior to 2006? It was in 2006 that they eliminated sales tax on used vehicle registrations. Unless the out-of-state tax is something else.
I like the cabover design, and I like Isuzu’s diesel engines. The only thing that sucks is the inability to turn one of these into, say, a Class C motorhome, since the bunk area would interfere with the cab’s tilting.
Save up $1000-1500. Find somebody willing to get you into a dealer auction. Odds are you’ll find a very nice car there you can snag. It may not be perfect, but for what you pay, you can afford to fix it up. If you don’t know how, learn. Honest... this is the internet... it’s full of knowledge. That’s how I learned.…
The way I see it, if a car with a manual transmission isn’t as good as the same car with an automatic, then that isn’t a car that an enthusiast would want to own. I sure wouldn’t.
I miss my 2008 WRX (wagon!) but none of the current lineup does anything for me. The new WRX is nice ‘n all, but no wagon. The Outback and Legacy are ugly as sin, and... well... CVT. WTF? Obviously they’re trying to appeal more to the masses now.
Okay, no rant against the driver or that stuff... rather... what is this about a ticket for backing into an intersection?? Seriously? We now have a law against that? So what does somebody do if they stop too far into the intersection? Sit there? Go forward and hit somebody, or at the very least, get a ticket for…
The basic issue is simple...it’s a sense of entitlement. And that is exacerbated by moronic traffic laws and speed limits that have people bored out of their minds while driving. This is why they text and do other things besides paying attention. It’s BORING to be on the road. And they’re afraid that they’ll get a…
If I had $44k I’d grab it.
I say run the motherfucker over. Anybody (even a cop) who stands in the middle of the road deserves to get his ass run over. I have zero respect for cops anyway; they serve two purposes — 1. to generate revenue, and 2. to satisfy their own need to be bullies.
I hate flying (commercially) and refuse to do it unless there’s simply no other choice.
There’s nothing stupid about them. It demonstrates control of your motorcycle. Learning how to do them and do them well could save your butt in an emergency situation.
Hopefully this new bill will help other states realize that it’s something that needs to happen there as well. We nearly had it in Oregon this year, til f’ing ODOT and the “Governor’s Council on Motorcycle Safety” had it killed in committee without so much as a vote.
I’m not 100% on that number now that I think about it. That was ages ago. BTW it was an automatic too. Kinda hard to screw up with that. But it had headers, exhaust, cold air intake, rocker arms, and I don’t even remember what else anymore. Maybe “heavily” was a bad choice of words too.
What a completely f’d up system. So people there spend $3000-4000 to learn the wrong way to do things so they can pass their test. Then out in the real world, they learn how to really do things. Yeah that’s messed up. The US may have no real driver education system, but at least here you aren’t forcibly taught the…
I knew when I saw the title, that there would be plenty of haters. Fortunately I’m not one of them.
Speed limits exist to generate revenue. That’s it. Montana had it right. But then you had idiots like that guy who ruined it for everybody. Rather than ruin it for everybody, I say go the Montana way, but make the penalties WAY higher... like automatic loss of license for the first offense. Or maybe there are better…
Another great example of why speed limits are a joke. They’re political tools like the IRS, used to oppress and generate revenue. And what’s the deal with the photo speed cameras? They’re a violation of the 4th Amendment (among other things). Time to be rid of them, on a national level.
Okay, so if this was really on a test drive and there are four people in it, WHY in the world would the driver make a super hard right turn like that anyway? That’s just stupid regardless. So yeah I can’t help but think it’s not entirely random.
