Good for him! I hope he stays Not Found. I hate cops. Most of them only exist to generate revenue for the governments that employ them.

I've been wanting to buy one of these at an auction or something and do some custom work on it too... but as usual, lacking the time and the funds makes it a dream-only activity. :)

GM is run by the bean counters. They always get what they want, even if it makes no sense to anybody else.

Flying commercially sucks, period. If you can afford First Class, odds are you can afford to charter one of those smaller planes like celebrities and business types use, and avoid all the commercial BS. Me, I prefer to drive. Or better yet, ride. Haven't found a motorcycle that'll float yet though. :/

It's ugly.

Nice. Now when it shows up with diesel, manual, AND AWD, I can consider it.

So they've gone back to the Big Box look of the pre-1999 models.

At some point I'd love to hear anything you might know about the newer H1 Alpha with the Duramax. Is it any better? I can't afford one of those anymore than even the one you got, but I'm curious. Sounds to me though that if you want a good off-road vehicle, you buy a Wrangler. :)

It's in nice condition (based solely on the photos), but I'm not sure it's worth $10k. I've been living fulltime in an RV for seven years, and I've learned a lot in that time. Basically, all RVs are garage. EVERY single one of them with a list price under about $500k. So it really comes down to finding the one

Which car needs a manual transmission? Nearly every one of them that doesn't already have one! How's that? :)

Unfortunately too many people ARE like him.

I wrote to the two politicians listed in the article. Hopefully they'll listen and un-amend the bill. Washington needs lane splitting, as does every state in the country. Even though it seems too many ignorant motorists oppose it ("it's all about ME" is their attitude), it really does need to happen. As others

Learn to pay more attention. It's really that simple. When you first experience it as a motorist, yes, it's alarming. But it doesn't take long to realize there are shiny things on each side of your car called MIRRORS, and if you look in those regularly, which you should be, you'll see motorcycles approaching. In

I guess you'd be the guy who would try to cut us off to "get even" huh? We don't "peel out" btw. Bikes are faster than cars, period. We get away from a stop much faster. Even grandpa on his Goldwing (assuming it would even fit between cars) accelerates faster than most cars. It's just a matter of physics.

I wish the guys on motorcycles who beat the crap out of the Range Rover douche in New York got as much support as these street racers are getting. Instead, everybody ganged up on them, despite the fact that the douche in the Range Rover RAN THEM OVER and won't even face charges for the guy he crippled. Oh yeah, and

I love the car, but not for $10k. I might be willing to spend $5k on it IF I had the money to do a full rebuild of it... new upholstery, new paint, etc. The color as it is sucks bigtime.

This is so typical of the lack of proofing / quality control done by the so-called media. They can't even be bothered to confirm a company name, for gosh sake.

Actually yes, it was... by the time I sold it. It didn't happen until after I moved away from Nebraska.

I have to agree... great article. I concluded that if I could afford such a car, I'd probably get either an Audi RS7 or the Mercedes E63 4-Matic AMG Model S WAGON... same performance, pretty much, without all the attention.

I wouldn't give a kid a car with ABS necessarily. Let 'em learn to drive without it. They should learn proper threshhold braking before relying on ABS. While you're at it, take them to the local autocross and insist that they compete for a year before they get their full license. SCCA rules will allow that as long
