I would say it is the driving experience. In old school you feel more like you are part of what's going on.

I have a replica and it is a great way to have a car you can't "really" afford. How well it's built is the key though.

The rear window makes me think Triumph gt6 but not the grill.

I learned that one the hard way. I laid a fridge down in a pickup thinking that we should keep it as aerodynamic as possible (for driving down the freeway). The oil drained from the compressor. Did not let it rest on the other end and dead fridge.

This is a coffin to go with that flower car.
