I find mid morning, ie 10-11 works out fine, you don’t get the mob rush when the doors open, and you miss the mid day crowd. Oh yeah, fuck the weekend....

I have been to Hershey several times, and there is something benevolent and bucolic about it, I must admit..

Thanks!

I have to give props to HBO for its stunning set design and cinematography; I haven’t seen a series with such a firm sense of time and place in quite awhile. I also have been trying to find the name of the last song playing over the final credits, it sounds Gershwinesque but I haven’t had any luck...

I don’t honestly remember the book well enough to judge how closely this follows the plot line. However, HBO doesn’t seem to have spared any expense in recreating the sights and sounds of the era. The scenery and cinematography is stunning and worth watching aside from any other virtues of this series.

Larry ‘advising’ the interracial couple was at his most gloriously cringe inducing...

Having had the privilege of eating fresh made zeppole growing up in an Italian section of the Bronx, I don't believe these should be considered an acquired taste. They are deliciously accessible from the first bite..

I’m waiting for the Sno Ball one or nothing.... half decadence is for sissies!

It was big screen comfort food that hit the spot for a lot of people after 9/11.

I definitely agree this was the season highlight so far. Larry and Jon Hamm echoing ‘prettttty good’ was my best laugh of the week. I do have to use Larry’s ‘window’ theory about giving the house to Becky, it’s been 15 years and the ‘gift which should be compensated window’ closed years ago... sorry, LD...

The jump seats in the old Checker cabs have never been improved on. Hmmph..

Yeah, she was an interesting writer, but her opinion of movies was almost the exact opposite of mine...

Pailine Kael was a hopeless grouch, Karen Allen is great. That is all..

The Irish pub style restaurant near me will give you a free slice of Irish soda bread as an entree side if you ask for it, which I invariably do. I just don’t go anywhere near the place St. Patrick’s Day..

I am up for this, especially since banana peppers are one of the few ingredients that Subway has not disappointed me with. I hope this goes National.

The Jets are to football what Trump is to governing ..

If Carrie’s power was ‘timid’, I would hate to see it ‘aggressive’...

Lose the raw onions and I'm game..

Exactly..

I know Susie is obnoxious and callous, but waving off a heart attack victim is pretty much over the line...
