I have lived in North Jersey for decades and even people in South Jersey know Sloppy Joe’s as the ground beef version.  Interestingly enough, the north NJ version is also the same sandwich you would get in NYC if you ordered a Sloppy Joe.....and they are delicious...

And yet, a protein salad sandwich somehow feels classier than a few slices of bologna slapped onto some white bread with a squirt of mustard” - It may not be ‘classy’ but I have had that bologna sandwich more times than I can count, and it has never failed to be satisfying....

We in the Northeast US consider a sloppy joe a sandwich with various cold cuts and usually Russian dressing and coleslaw.

If its spaghetti, good Lord I’ll try it, although it may end my life long spaghetti obsession.

This discussion compelled to go to my favorite local diner and try a Taylor Ham (north NJ) on a roll for lunch. It was perfectly made, with a delicious roll, and accompanied by fresh coffee. I definitely enjoyed it, though I would opt for fried bologna if that were available....

My first exposure to Emily Blunt; she had so many great moments. My favorite was the ending when she started to cry at Andy’s offer of the French wardrobe but immediately caught herself. She then allowed herself a big grin and reminded Andy’s replacement about the big shoes she had to fill.... a nice bit of acting...

Living not far from Newark Airport, the interminable lines and seemingly arbitrary arrival and departure times are dreadful. However, there is surprising compensation in that there is a surprising number of much better than usual airport restaurants available....even including a Belgian Beer Cafe!
