The guy is a joke, and it depresses me how people think he’s some sort of genius.

elon musk is a modern day snake-oil salesman and we need to stop giving him money and attention.

This is what happens when 90% of your military budget is spent on private yachts.

from what i can tell the most modern equipment they’re sending into ukraine is from the mid 90's. so no, there isn’t anything nato already knows about in detail.

Doubt it. This isn’t kit that NATO is unfamiliar with. From what has been reported so far, it is a lot of older tanks and equipment that are being used extensively in Ukraine. The new stuff isn’t doing much since there isn’t much of it and replacing them if lost would be prohibitive.

No kidding. I figured as outnumbered as the Ukrainians were the Russians would have steamed them right over. Looks like everyone both overestimated Russia’s preparedness and the Ukrainian’s will to fight back.

Agree. The Russian soldiers who are there without any malice towards Ukraine and end up dead...instead of sympathy...I blame that dick-tater Putin. If only he had been born a few inches taller.

Police serve a vital function to society and their presence is needed. I think virtually everyone with any measure of sense can admit that at some level. However, one bad apple really does spoil the bunch. Until police officers and their unions are willing and able to act in the best interests of the society they are

“police officers readily do, putting their lives on the line to save others”

It’s not just the “tiny fraction of” bad cops, it’s the overwhelming majority of chips who leap to protect bad cops from the consequences of their actions, and who in doing so, encourage that badness.

This is what police officers readily do, putting their lives on the line to save others. Pity that a tiny fraction of bad cops on a power trip ruin it for the rest

It’s a cool-as-fuck classically-styled car but brand new, comfortable, reliable, and easy to live with - plus it isn’t going to need an ever more expensive resource to keep it on the road.

I agree, the dash from the EV in the article simply does not fit the exterior and those wheels are a hard no as well. The boring black paint is not doing it any favors either. The seats are’t bad but could have a more classic optic, but the section in between with the arm rest just does not fit the car at all.

If I was gonna get an EV Mustang, I’d want a true restomod—a car that looks restored on the outside, with the modifications under the skin. I want it to look exactly like this on the outside:

Don’t get me wrong, it’s worlds better than the execution on the Ford F-100 Eluminator concept, but yeah some reworked gauges, an old-school 1DIN stereo with bluetooth, and a rearview mirror that doubles as the backup camera screen (because legally it needs it, even if really doesn’t in reality) and it would be

Unless you’re a professional fabricator/builder, I don’t think building a similar car is possible for anywhere near $100k. I would estimate that parts alone would approach $100k.

Tesla Model S drive kits run about $12,000 from EV West. Alternatively a liquid cooled AM Racing Dual Stack motor (420 hp / 560 lb-ft) runs about $19,000. If you want to keep it “in-house” Ford offers the Eluminator as a crate motor (281 hp / 317 lb-ft) for $4,095; so $8,200 for two of them and AWD.

You could build your own, have it be RWD and NOT have that dumb screen in the dash.... Anyone want to loan me $100k?
