It’s a cute truck for people that don’t need a truck or can’t afford one need a small truck.

I’m most cases I'd agree that most people would be better served buying an SUV or a car. In this rare case the low MSRP and excellent MPGs of the hybrid have me disagreeing.

I’m guessing you live in a large city - tens of millions of Americans do not, and don’t live anywhere near a Home Depot or other truck rental facility. I’ve lived in rural areas a few times, and this thing would have absolutely crushed it in those locations. You have to drive long distances, so the good/great fuel…

Following that line of reasoning, you’d be better served buying another car and leaving your truck to towing duty only. Maybe that’s what you do...? I’d imagine if you’ve got $$$ and space for a boat, it would be pretty easy to buy/park another car as well.
