Our next car will either be 100% EV or will be a hybrid EV.
We will not be looking at purely petrol vehicles any longer.
40MPG or more or the equivalent of more or nothing.

This isn’t REALLY all that much different from most car makers though.
My own particular favorite brand has had multiple changes from a model that was “unchanged” between the years of 2008 to 2013, but they used two different motors in that time, they also switched out many components mid-year, on the early motor and…
The Maverick existing has me seriously considering buying a Ford. I have never, willingly owned a Ford. My ex-wife had one and my wife has one now, but she hates it and wants it gone... yet... this Maverick is REALLY piquing our curiosity.
The mid-trim level with the hybrid motor would actually be capable of towing the…
I’m fairly certain it’s been that case for more than a decade. On my 2006 MINI Cooper S JCW GP, when I pop in my ODBCII Reader, all the info and more is available on my phone, things that were never available as gage options.
It’s already possible to 100% recycle the very degraded batteries.
The current issue is that it is significantly less expensive to manufacture new batteries from freshly mined materials, than it is to recycle existing degraded batteries.
In time? That will change. When will that time arrive? It’s very difficult to say,…
The Community Center is potentially also the City Hall, Courthouse AND Police Department building(s).
Those maps are NOT detailed, quite well enough.
Context clues change with the time of day, volume of traffic, weather and events that happen in between the last time that a camera car drove down a given road.
Redundancy costs money. Removing redundancies lowers costs, and vehicle weight at the same time.
This is just one of the several reasons why Self Driving Cars will not happen until we have fully self aware AI that can understand and observe context clues as well as a human being.
At which point... we get into ethically…
As someone present in your comment? Beer Snob Hipsters don’t care about the bottle/can, they care about the contents.
Yeah and you can look at LibreOffice which is VERY compatible with MS Office, but is 100% free.
I almost bet the thieving started with people looking for specific parts from that era or that model locomotive. One or two dials, gages, controls, then... when others saw stuff missing? “Well, I better get some stuff out of this too!”
It’s just a multitude of issues that add up together, that cause a state to be a failed state.
HINT: The US is a failing/failed nation state.
What the hell are you doing with a 3000 square foot house? Are you raising chinchillas or something? You can easily have a family of two parents + 2 kids in a sub-1000 square foot home. (My wife, myself, my daughter and two cats are quite comfortable in our sub 830 square foot home.)
There’s like a dozen different Youtube channels dedicated to being a Black Van Lifer.
(I will have to start watching some of them, because the blurbs I have seen on them, indicate that it is a very different experience.)
Oh... so they are basically 1990's American Middle School kids.
What dumb idiots!
That is an UTTERLY fantastic tribute, fun, exciting, surprising and tear jerkingly sweet and EXACTLY what is needed in this bleak feeling, terrible times that we live in.
Nice.
Now there will be growing and growing cases to make anything other than the most boring, pedestrian passenger vehicles into being the only vehicles allowed on the street.
Good going, young idiots. Giving old curmudgeons reasons to push to ruin the automotive experience for the rest of us.
Being Ohio, presumably, they let her keep her terrified 11 year old, because... Ohions gotta Ohio... (I mean, that is why a good number of people from Ohio chose to leave Earth right?)
Cars absolutely are designed to be crashed. You can’t even get approval to put a production vehicle on the road with out dozens of destructive crash tests. This is why it is so improbable for new car makers to enter the marketplace.
That’s why those that do, are making 3 Wheel Motorcycle regulated cars.
O-Ring Failures…
