I have a touch of a social life because I organize events, quite regularly for large groups of friends using FB events.

We generally vacillate between texts for small two to three couple get together events, but... when we’re negotiating plans for upwards of 20+, we use FB events to make communication and calendar setting easier for everyone.

It works out really solidly. It’s the best larger group event organizing tool that we’ve found.
