But the Dept. of State ships from MD to Congo IIRC and it doesn't cost him. Shipping from Europe to Congo personally even with diplomatic privileges would be prohibitively expensive and would take weeks to clear customs at best, and that would cost him out of pocket.

US Dept of State will ship 1 vehicle for you at no cost, along with a set weight of furniture/household goods and depending on the post a food shipment that you prep and ship usually at your halfway point.

The 1100 is the best phone I've ever had. I'm on my 6th of that style (lost, stolen x 3, gifted, used until it fell apart literally). It is a workhorse of a phone. But in the US I do have a Droid, and I'm hoping to get one that I can use internationally.

I think that thing behind the bullet is a plastic sabot. Might be from a pneumatic gun as there is no smoke or powder or flash even. And the sabot doesn't generally go that far from the muzzle end.
