Sounds like a 5 cylinder, does that sound like a 5 cylinder to anyone else? Any more details on this car?

man, that j-12

They're all names of municipalities in New York State. I think I've driven through most of them.

Better than you might expect. The body is galvanized, so they generally don't rust. Other than a wheel bearing that was shot when I bought it, and a new radiator(it still had the original) I haven't put any money into it other than cosmetics that I wanted to fix. There are people with more than 300K on the stock 7A

That's my daily driver. They can be found pretty regularly, in decent shape for around 3K(in spite of the fact that less than 1,800 came to the states). You just need to know where to look. I've been thinking about picking up a 20v sedan that I just saw for sale, and turning the cq into a project.

IIRC, if you keep driving east, and there's another great stretch from Brant Lake to Hauge.

For the Upstate NYer's related to #10: Rte 8 from Wells to the Riparius Bridge over the Hudson is outstanding in both directions.

I recommend an older AWD car like an Audi or Subaru. You can drift through every turn without a care in the world. Even though this winter has been horribly disappointing on this front. I love mornings like today where there's a nice layer of slush and ice everywhere.

Like that process doesn't take place every couple of model years...

You're (realistically) looking at $30 in parts for most cars. Small led screens are not terribly expensive, and a simple re-write of the code that outputs the codes to include the descriptions wouldn't be some sort of restrictive cost.

Make that A4 and Avant and now we're talking.

I think he was always one of those "The best defense is a good offense" types anyway.

regis- completely agree. My wife and I were discussing this the other night.

Backing into a space is the recommended way of parking from defensive driving courses I've taken in the past. I prefer to back in whenever it's no going to hold someone else up.

You got me there. The UrQ gets a pass, but everything else is 'q', including the typeface on the UrQ.

Vorsprung durch Technik, and because spelling quattro with a capital 'Q', lets everyone know that that you're a newb.

Yes please, and none of that haldex crap either.

It may not be an Ur-Q, nor is it even close to a SportQ, but I really love my daily driven 91 Cq.

Love that they started it off with quattro sounds, then the disappointment came as the music started. Needs less music, and more group B noises.

yep, here's one ins a 68 camaro
