They first announced they were doing this show like 2 years ago. It’s in no way a bandwagon jumping onto the current BLM movement.

Focusing on Jodie and not Daria and Jane is a weird choice however, and it was assumed two years ago that yes, because she was one of the only black characters.

The climbing system was standard for things like Uncharted and the like, where it was mostly hop from highlighted protrusion point to the next... and it allowed them to create guided pathways for scenic routes you were supposed to take and hopping puzzles for climbing tall things.
