“Nobody believed in us.”

And somehow the Patriots will use this as motivation to win another Super Bowl next year.

I know Boeheim is an irascible jerkbox who routinely undermines his own players as they leave for the NBA, and is not exactly well-liked outside of Syracuse, but I wouldn’t wish this on anyone. Obviously, the man who lost his life and his friends and family are even more affected, but it must feel horrible to be

That really seems more like an NFL GM thing to do. Any NBA GM not ranking this guy No. 1 either: (1) has no chance of drafting him anyway, or (2) shouldn’t have a job. Or both.

I think most NBA teams would rather he “quit” and save himself for a long, marketable future in the NBA than play a few more bullshit games for the horny NCAA

I’d be the last guy in the world to defend Don Cherry but if you don’t think he’s gone off on goal celebrations he finds offensive you just must not have watched him for very long.

I feel like there can be a middle ground here. You can feel like Cherry and the old guard and all their “respect the game” stuff is obnoxious and terrible while thinking that the new hockey media’s desperation to make everything a fucking meme is exhausting. It’s “Please Like My Sport” for the Internet Age and these

You think Don Cherry would wear something that has only two colours and no patterns?

Not getting Lonzo Ball is infinitely better than any trade that gets you Lonzo Ball.

Honestly I'd take Tatum and whatever over the chance to cosplay as the 2018 Lakers.

Here’s my lukewarm take on the whole AD situation:

Again, the people making this argument are such terrible people. Guy, you really need to reflect on the kind of person that you are. Human decency is a real thing that is not just related to whether you are contractually obligated to do something. Every offer Kuchar made was a slap in the face, and it is UNBELIEVABLE

Awww poor Kuchar, yeah the bad PR is going to cost him I feel sooooooooooo bad for him. Whether or not the full $130k was warranted, I really do not think it is a stretch to say that the $1,000 bonus he received is such a slap in the face that Kuchar ought to be ashamed of himself. The follow-up offer of $15,000 was

I donno man, if it’s customary to give 10%, and you’re a pro-golfer supposedly living by the customs of the PGA, I would guess most of them?

You got a few things wrong here. 1. El Tucan only asked for $50,000 - not the full $130,000. 2. It is NOT customary for golfers to give local caddies the full 10 percent. A golfer’s regular looper does so much more than El Tucan did for Kuch that week. To insinuate he SHOULD have paid him $130,000 is crazy.

The frightening thing is that the idea that better off people deserve to be paid more because it’s what they’re used to really is how these assholes think.

Petty AF to put “No L.A.” right on the dang jersey tho.

You want Florida to get...more drunk!?

“Hezonja posters Chriss...”

Yeah, I don’t entirely get giving out a second fighting major to Cole if you’re giving someone like Wilson here an instigator. What is Cole supposed to do?
