I don't think encourageable is a word, but maybe my Merriam Webster is outdated. I just think it's a wannabe clever line that is undermined by the fact that it's kind of dumb.

I think the whole "TV shows are better than movies these days" is based mostly on comparing today's TV shows to most movies that come out of Hollywood. But of course at this point it's gotten much easier to watch movies that aren't manufactured by Hollywood, and so there's no reason to make that comparison other than

If being high makes you appreciate a broad comedy less, that's probably not the drugs fault. That being said, Extract is pretty enjoyable, though it pales a fair bit in comparison to Mike Judge's previous two features.
