I gotta be frank. I’m getting too old to deal with the weight of gallon glass jars daily. But for storage of bulk goods, they cannot be beat. And I do think keeping a handful of bay leaves in the bins will help.

We invested in some nice OXO containers (they will not hold 25 lbs of rice, sadly) but they did a good job of keeping them out of all our grains. We did try a few grocery store containers, but they kept finding their way in. We got what we paid for, I guess. We have been about 2 years moth free now.

You vastly overestimate how many people care enough to spend more than $50 on a router.

I’ve eaten one. Did not kill me. Wasn’t fun. Do not recommend.
Another one of those smells is the moment when garlic hits olive oil in the pan. My father’s first career was as a chef and he laughs about how that is always the moment when someone says, “Mmmmm, that smells good!”
Tzatziki, maybe?
Someone pointed out what has become my favorite thing about this (amazing) shot: Vader has lights on the control panel thingy on his chest, yet he is shrouded in complete darkness until igniting his light saber. The only in-universe explanation is that Vader shut down his own life support in order to make a properly…
I think it was the perfect capstone to the film’s themes of sacrifice against overwhelming odds. I haven’t seen a piece of pop culture where the good guys get so wrecked for such small victories since Attack on Titan.
I thought the Bacta tank scene was illuminating. To see Vader as both the all-powerful Sith Lord and an almost helpless amputee in the same film is a wonderful treat.
That corridor scene was about the best thing in the movie and probably Vader’s best cinematic moment... and yet I kind of wish Vader had actually killed the heroes on the beach. It would have stopped it seeming like they were all just dying because the plot didn’t need them any more, and tied them more directly as…
Looks more and more like they rescued this movie in post-
It made the film.
Bay leaves are for adding to your containers of grains to keep bugs out. I sprinkle them throughout my pantry for good measure. Had lots of bugs (especially moths) before I started doing this, now have very few. Surely that anecdote proves something.
The more ‘bad’ reviews I read of this, the more I think I’m going to like it.
A) this is on Netflix, not in theaters. Fans can absolutely keep a show in the black.
Yeah, I’m not here for this...especially Beth’s nonsense...as I have said before I have friends at Vanity Fair, Buzzfeed, etc.. who have seen the screeners and said they are in no way reflective of the articles being released. There needs to be a new scandle to feed the click bait monster since the whole Casey…
Man, you guys really want Iron Fist to be Asian.
