I just sent him the following text:
Realize this: Your NFC embedded hand is a target that I intend to exploit. It will someday have the URL for Never Gonna Give You Up embedded on it. You have been warned.

A friend of mine has implanted an NFC chip in one hand and an RFID in the other. He uses them instead of his parking and door badges. I keep warning him that I’m going to sneak up on him and change his NFC chip so that it links to Rick Astley’s Youtube video “Never Gonna Give you Up.”

It will happen... oh yes it will.

I hit one in the small town of Wangen, near the Austrian border. I was set to order schnitzel until the farmer next to me got his braised chicken. It looked amazing, so I had to get it. It was.

That was a fun time. We were the only non-locals there and as Americans, were treated very well by both the staff and the

I have friends in Indianapolis who swear by both.

And if you ever get near Valpo, I highly recommend Don Quixote’s. It’s Spanish, not Mexican, and is amazing. Carlos is the head chef, and they do game meat on special nights and have amazing tapas.

Go to Ditka’s.

If you’re in Germany, esp. in a small town, go find a gasthaus. The food is almost always great.

And of course, any friggin Taqueria you choose. The street tacos in those are sublime. I’ve even gotten great street tacos in a gas station here in Dallas. (Fuel City anyone?)

What about Pappa Roux for Cajun and Jockamo Upper Crust for pizza?

This. I can get better food at a lower price at 2 Guys from Italy here in Dallas. Or Savianno’s. And Dallas isn’t even close to ideal for Italian food.

I’m Italian. If I’m at Olive Garden, it’s for a friend’s birthday and I didn’t have a say in the location.

It’s OK that you skipped BBQ. It’s better in Dallas anyway... (Ducking and running!)

I liked De Dutch. It was different enough that it brought us back twice in 3 days for breakfast.

I liked Remoulade’s. Not sure if it’s still around. And of course, beignets from Cafe Du Monde and Central Grocery for a muffaletta.

Not too far from Baton Rouge is Rayne, Louisiana. Located in Rayne is Chef Roy’s Frog City Cafe. I had the best crab cakes of my life there.

Also not too far is Hawk Arseneaux’s, which is a great place to eat during crawfish season.

The Russian House on 5th street is greatness. And of course, The Salt Lick in Round Rock (Or Driftwood if you have the time) is solid ‘cue.

Greek town has some solid food offerings. I had great greek and a pretty damn good deep dish pizza there.

Federal Way has a great little Ramen shop called Tokyo-Ya. The owner is cool as hell, and the ramen is top-notch!

The Strand has some great eating choices with a slightly more touristy vibe. I had some pretty good Cod over by Pennmac when I visited.

My wife and I went to Wichita. She liked the Doo Dah diner so much she made me buy her a shirt! :D

The Lotus Leaf Cafe was also pretty damn good.

I was in Houston a few weeks ago and ended up in Winnie TX at Al-T’s. They had some pretty damn good shrimp. I keep meaning to get to Gaido’s because I hear it’s the bomb. But I went out to Sea Rim State Park to avoid the crowds at the beach, so I was closes to Winnie.

Tortuga’s in Galveston is good. I also had some
