How much do these cost??? Is the $800k marine edition not far off from the regular model?

I just got a 2016 2-door GTI, manual S model with Performance Pack and Lighting Package for $25k, sticker was $28.3k. Mine was a factory order, so they had me by the balls a little, but I was happy with the deal.
Cars and trucks make up almost 20% of all emissions in the US. VW’s market share has averaged around 3% during the period the cheater cars were built. 20% of VW’s U.S. sales are TDIs. Under normal driving, the worst offenders were 10 to 20 times over the allowed limit (we’ll call it 15 times over the limit). Punch it…
I just picked up a GTI I ordered a week before the shit hit the fan. I asked my salesman how things were moving and he said, aside from folks coming to get their gift cards, it really didn’t seem to be affecting sales.
Manufacturers look for ways to differentiate their product in any way possible, and market based on those differences. It doesn’t matter that Sync doesn’t do anything different than any other similar system, what matters is that Ford can make a commercial about it and tell you the only way to get it is in a Ford…
Here’s the reality - I live in the U.S., which means I’m relegated to watch this on Netflix. Even if this new Top Gear sucks, if it shows up on Netflix, I’m gonna watch it. Will I still get Prime to watch the three amigos continue? You bet, but the BBC won’t lose a Top Gear viewer because of me.
I’m sure the outlook is…
I wonder if the girls riding pillion are thinking, “OMG my boyfriend is so fucking cool”, or, “I’m dating a No-Fear-certified, chrome-plated douche nozzle”.
This. I remember the promos for the first Multi 1200 with all the ride modes and thinking, “Wow, never knew you could do that on a 17” front.”
This is nothing new. People have been lowering cars since the dawn of cars. When my dad was a kid, he was friends with a guy who had a Nova that looked like it’d run 8’s, except when you opened the hood there was a bone stock straight 6 in there. Flames have been painted on cars since at least the 50’s. Lowriders have…
Has the XE S been overwritten by the XE 35t R-Sport? If not, anyone know the pricing/availability on the S?
I’ve had 2 turbo cars, and the general consensus from owners (who are most likely used to driving turbo cars) claim they have zero lag. I disagree, and I side with C/D’s take on them. If you’re used to high-performance N/A engines, any turbo has lag, end of story.
Please don’t take offense, but this sounds like it’s written by someone who has very little experience with high-performance, NA engines. I used to drive a Mazdaspeed3, I currently drive an Mk7 GTI. The vast majority of people seem to feel these cars have “no lag”, but they do, in any gear, at any RPM, any throttle…
I wasn’t upside down on the Porsche. I used to owe $~38k on my car, now I owe ~$8.5k.
Adventure is merely hardship recalled with fondness.
I’m on Double-D’s side on this one... It’s one thing to ask if the sunroof works, it’s something else to ask for a video of it... and yes, this does happen. OFTEN.
The last vehicle I sold was for $7,300, and the dude handed me a wad of C-notes.
I test drove one a couple months back while waiting for service on my Boxster. No, the Macan is no sports car, but it is so much better than anything like it has a right to be. It looks and feels, inside and out, far above it’s price tag.
