Fair point, but we end up running into a “no true Irishman” issue here eventually, don’t we? I think it’s better to listen to someone who has studied a religion closely if you want to learn about that religion, but when we come to the point of deciding who’s a “real” Muslim/Christian/ect and who isn’t, I’m not sure…

You seem educated, I’ve been wondering this a long time. Is Judaism a religion, ethnicity, nationality, none of the above, or a little bit of all three? If someone doesn’t follow the Torah are they still Jewish, just because somewhere back up their family tree their great grandparents did? And why is that? I struggle…
