I would not suggest it for those in poor physical shape. However if you are in good physical condition and burpees are not extremely difficult (you can do 10-15 without much effort) then bringing your knees to your chest (tuck jump) will give you a decent extra challenge.

The important part is get your feet off the ground and jump up bringing your hands towards the sky. If you want an extra challenge jump and bring your knees to your chest. Either way you jump make sure you land soft - bent knees, down into a partial squat which starts your next burpee.
