I nominate the Lancia Delta Integrale. I think a good example is nearing $40,000 maybe (?)(this is of course a rough estimate from Euros to USD), but to the untrained eye it's just another 80's hatch.

I give you a thumbs up, but OP did mention the relative used price being similar to a new FRS/BRZ. Any price research on a used Elise? Their rarity compared to Boxsters seem to mean higher used prices.

Personally I'd still get the FRS/BRZ, but I see your point on getting a Boxster.
