AWD/4WD is not about safety. It’s about being able to get somewhere in the winter. Not everyone lives amongst flat cornfields.

I just leave my tow hitch ball mount installed. That way when some kid in his Civic rear ends me, he gets a nice hole punched in his radiator and I drive away unscathed.

300k miles or 30 years old, whichever comes first.

I have a better idea. Put them all on the driver’s side! Do I win the internet today?

Why are you comparing it to the Focus? The EcoSport is based on the same platform as the Fiesta. The Escape is the one to compare to the Focus as they share a platform.

Ah that stuff. You can even smell it through it’s sealed container. I keep an extra bottle on my shelf for self defense.

What’s with the wagon fetish?

That is because such a thing doesn’t exist. Cheap and popular electric cars are a fantasy unless subsidized by the government or the automaker. And at that point, cheap is just a relative term.

Is this The Onion?

Not me. I read the manual before I buy the car. During the research phase of the car buying process.

Is that a battery icon? You have to charge your mirrors?

Those are one of the main reasons I do not like Porsche. They help contribute to the sheer ugliness.

You forgot one thing.

Still waiting for the real world where every one has a hitch ball-mount installed all the time and someone drops down their fancy tailgate and punches a hole through it.

Ok, you win there, in a rugged 4x4. But in a luxury truck, a knob.

4WD selector should never be buttons anyways. It should always be a knob.

Animals don’t belong in the car. Or the house. Unless they are on my plate of course.

Do you know what else doesn’t ruin pickup trucks? Turbos. After driving one of them Ecoboosts, I don’t see why anyone would want a V8 except for the sound.

In what world does one think of the Tundra when one thinks of “old school” truck? Tundra doesn’t even enter my mind when I think of truck. Period.
