This is ridiculous. And people think this is more sensible than letting these cars continue on? The emissions laws are too strict. It’s time we elected a sensible president who can weigh the pros and cons of regulation rather than regulating everything out of existence. Oh wait, we did in November.

“I don’t see how that is any worse than the central one in the Prius.”

Yep, typical Portland. Putting all their money into gold-plated light rail instead of fixing the roads that the vast majority of the population rely on.

I don’t blame them. If you had to drive on the wrong side of the road and upside down, you probably wouldn’t be able to drive either.

Shoulda used BFG KO2s.

We should not be subsidizing electric and hybrid vehicles. They need to compete within the marketplace on their own merit. To whom does it make sense for the middle class working man who can barely afford his 12 year old beater to help pay for the rich guys new $100,000 Tesla?

No it’s not. Cutting the EPA to save the auto industry is like cutting back the red tape keeping police from improving your neighborhood.

Looks to me like they hired one of those new liberal diversity trainers.

They need a hood scoop to catch up to the competition?

I’d be more impressed if they gave the Passat owner a new Tesla.

You should head out into the country where the conservatives live. You will find a much cleaner and more beautiful environment!

My 2000 Ford Explorer has a Dana 35 front axle, and it’s independent suspension. A Dana axle does not indicate a solid axle. With that being said, I hope the new Ranger has independent front suspension and the new Bronco has a solid axle up front. Probably wishful thinking.

The moral of the story is simple: turn off the date stamp on your dashcam.

We need to abolish the EPA. Problem solved. Then we can actually get reliable less complex cars and high MPG.

I know a guy who found various coins in his car engine used to shim for valve lash. Some previous owner must have done it.

Maybe they are hoping Trump will do the right thing and abolish the EPA. No need for EPA certification then! Prosperity naturally brings a clean culture without heavy government regulation.

I hope they don’t buy it back. Would serve him right. I like karma!

But they don’t pencil out. Are you going to pay for them?

It’s time to abolish the EPA. It’s a totally unnecessary agency (like most of them). If people want to buy diesel fueled cars, gas-guzzlers, electric cars, or whatever, let them. Stop the subsidies on hybrid and electric cars. Let them compete in the market like every other product. And please, stop trying to ram your

I’m pretty sure fossil fuels are still popular and will be popular in the future. It’s not like we are going to run out any time soon.
