One of the defense attorneys states it as fact in the first episode. Kusche never admitted to it (as far as I know), but the evidence they use against him in the second episode pretty much locks down their argument. I really don't understand how that guy sleeps at night having not only cost a man 18 years of his life

They already ignored it. It's not on the shortlist.

Soon to be 13. Looking forward to it.

Go ahead and jump into season 2. If you're not sold after episode 4, you'll know this show isn't for you. It's much more joke-dependent than narrative-dependent, so the jump won't hurt. If you like season 2, definitely go back to 1 though. The jump in quality isn't as drastic as some have made it out to be. For me,

We're also in an age where a show like Broad City, which would've been a shocker of a show five years ago, with storylines about pegging, having a lesbian relationship with your own lookalike (not to mention the remarkably cool way they handled Ilana's bisexuality), and a drug-addled Kelly Ripa, can be next to

The movie was really lacking…

I can live with this list. Sure, it hurts to see Justified's astonishingly good wrap-up get stuck with 20th, and The Knick isn't listed at all! But holy shit, what an astonishing year of television. Good luck, everyone, trying to watch everything on here.

Only seen the first episode of this season so I can't comment. I take it you were underwhelmed?

It also speaks to the remarkable increase in quality from last year to this year. This list could easily be extended to 60. It's ridiculous.

I'll take my stab at ranking:

VanDerWerff put The Americans at the top for Vox last year. Man, I miss that guy.

Sorry, I added it to the list just before you responded.

I'll stop editing it now. I think I have what seem like the 20 most likely to me. I'm assuming The Returned (which I haven't yet watched this season) probably won't make the cut. Any others?

What are the guesses on the remaining 20?

Damn, this is tempting

I've seen the love for it and I'm wondering if I have permission to just jump into season 3, which is the one that seems to be getting all of the love. There's just so damned much that I have to catch up with!

Trump has been a hellish situation all around, but damn if I haven't been impressed by his ability to do the Democrats' job in destroying every viable Republican candidate.

I think we just need more minorities here. When your state is as racially homogenized as ours is (94% white), it's no shocker people resort to wild levels of racism. I pity any non-white folks that have the misfortune to wind up here.

That game has caused me to shout "That's Too Much, Bob!" in everyday life instead of just casually saying "that's too much." Literally nobody has ever known what I'm referring to when I do that, but I can't stop.

Dennehy also has his moments. I was lucky enough to find a VHS copy of his performance in Death of a Salesman and the guy absolutely owned the role.
