Even as a non-religious person, its religious themes are strangely affecting. I just don't trust the AV Club writers to support my opinion, because they never do. Which means they're objectively wrong of course.

I remember going to it with my dad, who to this day considers Taken to be one of the greatest films ever made. His (sincere) reaction walking out of the theater: "I think it needed more on-screen violence."

Maybe The Last Five Years will get it, just for the title alone.

With such a reactionary group of commenters, this AV Club staff needs to just start messing with us.

The Master, though my heart goes to The Tree of Life.

I believe in Harvey Dent

Yeah, it was a surprisingly well-made film.

Let me just say before things get out of hand: this has actually been a good list.

Damn, you beat me to the punch in correcting Mohd. I'll never forgive you.

Good call on the apple pie for Boon. As a non-Harlan resident, I think he'd be one of the few still susceptible to that ploy, and it would be a damned great callback to the legendary season 2. I got my money on Loretta getting the honor.

Duffy ratted to Poole; Poole prosecuted Markham; Poole died later. I'm pretty sure Duffy did it.

Not sure what the general consensus is on this, but Raylan hasn't really done anything to declare himself unredeemable for me, the way Walter White or Vic Mackey may have done. It would be a brutal ending for Justified to punish him for what, in the world of TV, was a series of minor offenses. Not to say that Yost

I'll touch something; not necessarily his gun, though.

Found it: "Old boy by the name of Hut McKean mean anything to you?"

Did anyone understand what that guy was talking about before Boyd blew his brains out? It sounded like he had something juicy and the fact that he didn't get a chance to reveal us seems to me like there could be a twist coming referencing what he said.

The original poster on this thread wrote: "HAPPY NEW YEARS, EVERYBODY! What a great way to kick off 2021, with a list of the best movies this past decade. Couldn't have made it at any other point in time, what a celebration!"

"Because the common calendar starts with year 1, its first full decade is the years 1 to 10, the second decade from 11 to 20, and so on.So although the "1960s" comprises the years 1960 to 1969, the "197th decade" spans 1961 to 1970."

The title only says "best films of the decade so far," not "best films of the 2010s." Also, Mehdi, who's post The Prighlofone was correcting, never used the phrase "the 2010s." So he was basically correcting him for no reason.

He's right. The new decade didn't start until 2011. I thought the world collectively had this debate when we realized we celebrated the new millennium in 2000 when it didn't really start until 2001.
