Narrator: “It was not a surprise.”
I think I was just in a mood that day. :/
Yep. My friend and I saw “Sheena” in the theater at 13. Went mainly for the adventure, but then were delightfully surprised to see All of Ms. Roberts.
“I don’t get the sense Chibnall has the vaguest idea how politics or business works.”
TBF, I don’t know that a LOT of “Who” writers have had the vaguest idea of how those things work.
APPROVED.
See my reply above. ;)
Oh yeah - a lot of people absolutely had them.
But not every car, and not all the same.
HUH. Thanks.
“you’d live in fear of some dude actually twice your size just swatting you like a fly at some school dance or outside in the parking lot… There was a lot of fighting in Listowel and it kept everybody on their toes and everybody behaving.”
I think “Letterkenny” is kinda cute, but that sounds really fucking toxic.

I have no idea what you;re talking about with this “death of the author” business.
But the joke relies on assuming any business would necessarily follow the same pattern.
It’s more reasonable to think one feed and seed business would change owners than to think a business would explicitly advertise sexual favors.
It’s cute that you think I have any interest in what John Lennon had to say about anything,
It literally never occurred to me that was an allusion to people wearing towels on their heads.
You were TEN?!? Oh, Jesus God.
(Crumbles to dust.)
I always, always, thought it just meant he was really good at sleeping.
Granted, but this isn’t about the quality of the jokes - which is overall subjective - but the style, mechanics, and reception.
If people know that a lot of “Simpsons” jokes are references, and a joke comes by they don’t get, it’s easy to to pass it off as a reference to something they don’t know about, and go on…
?
CORRECT.
When Homer was designing his dream car and said that every car should have that little ball on the antenna that helps you find yours in a crowded parking lot?
It was YEARS before I realized that that was a joke about what a terrible idea that would be.
YEARS.
