“There are many, many stories about all the shitty things that Hoffman did to Streep as they were making the film. Hoffman, a method-acting devotee, pulled all sorts of moves, thinking these would draw more intense emotional reactions from Streep. He slapped her before a scene. He smashed a glass against a restaurant

“... Henry totally came unglued at the ceremony when he didn’t win, and Christopher Reeve, one of the only movie stars that Henry recognized, had to come over and comfort him.”

GODDAM REAL SUPERHERO.

Kramer Vs. Kramer was adapted from a 1977 novel by Avery Corman, who’d written it in part to fight back against the rising tide of feminism. ‘It was too overheated about men,’ Corman later said of that moment. So he wrote this book about a good father dealing with a bad mother in ‘an attempt to redress a wrong.’

Oh,

WHY are viewers not screenshotting the game in landscape mode as God intended?!?

Oh God - PLEEEEEEEEEAAAAAASE don’t use “Nu” in place of “New” for “Star Trek”! We’ve had enough of that for “Doctor Who” since 2005!

Sorry, but I found Rios to be an eye-rolling cliche, and the dodgy accents of his holograms were irritating.

However, I thought Raffi’s trailer house was pretty sweet. Wonder how she finagled living at Vasquez Rocks with apparently no neighbors like that.

.

Well, yeah.

Why this is shitty really isn’t that hard to figure out if you give it a minute’s thought.

Dammit. I’ve been hoping for redemption for that duck for decades.

A well-executed “Howard” series could nicely fill the curmudgeon-with-a-heart, introspective, self-loathing hole that “BoJack Horseman” is about to leave.

Why Gwyneth, though?

I mean. she’s a decent actor, but why give her any attention beyond that?

How did she and her GOOP bullshit become a voice people actually listen to for advice on health (or things perceived as health)?

Meh - it might be OK, but I can’t even anymore with the aesthetics in movies like these.

Dark labs... with stuff lit from underneath? (Terrible for visibility!) Inky black clouds. C’mon.

He’s been vegetarian, or mostly so, for some time now.

Jim Steinman has weighed in:

It doesn’t matter how calculated the Marvel movies can seem, or that there was no way almost all those people killed in “Infinity War” weren’t coming back, or that the heroes all hit their marks and strike their poses in the most unnatural ways... every pixel of that scene was EARNED and it’s beautiful.

I damn love this movie.

Among many other things (some written here) about how time and some goofy sequels have caused the quality of the original to be unfairly forgotten, it’s too bad the “Adrian! ADRIAN!” at the end has become such a pop culture joke, because it’s beautiful. He’s fought Creed, he proved he’s not a

I thought it was perfectly enjoyable too, but had No Idea it cost anything like that and HOW THE HELL... ?!?

See, I’m glad “Midway” is coming out, because there haven’t been that many movies about World War II.

:D

If you enjoy “Alien 3", you can still watch it whener you like, even if it gets “retconned”.

I’d be more than fine with that.

I don’t care much for continuity - I just like good characters and stories.
