Good for them both. Would that we all could be in a position to do that sorta thing for people.

I’ve spent 20 years serving from time to time as an expert witness in litigation that involves information technology, and so have read many dozens of (scores of, maybe a few hundred) complaints and counter-complaints. And I’ve found that the nastiest, most mean-spirited complaints (talking about the legal filings

Jason Schreier with all the big scoops. Great reporting Jason!

Did you really not feel that you got your moneys worth from the single player?

I just saw their tweet and I cannot believe it. This is fucking NUTS. I never would have expected to see something like this.

Jason does this mean Bungie needs a new Financial backer for Destiny? Do you think Sony and Microsoft are trying to get them on the horn as we speak?

No game has affected me more than RDR2. It made me cry more than any film, I think. Just a masterpiece of characterisation and ambitious game design.

I ran this blog by my dog first and she loved it.

What’s with hating on dogs so much, Esther? Dogs are noble creatures and have lived beside humans for nearly as long as goats, fulfilling all sorts of needs that most certainly do not include fetching cans of Diet Coke. The living hate-filled mannequin serving the President should not be compared to our canine

I’m still holding out hope for an entire season of 24 that’s just a normal day for Jack. One episode is him eating a bagel while reading the paper. Another one is him doing yard work. At the end of every episode, there’s some kind of cliffhanger, like the doorbell ringing but you don’t know who it is (Amazon delivery)

Off topic, but the mention of benzoyl peroxide efficacy doesn’t link to an article about that, it links to Jez's proactiv article. Anyone got deets there? Asking for my face.

It’s a mixture of things. Reading Black Twitter and message boards, some (a lot) are literally trash. I also think I lot of younger people not familiar with his songs, so they may stream him just to see what the fuss was all about. Some may be listening to the lyrics to see the warning signs.

I don’t want to say this in a way that will hurt your feelings but complaining about how “difficult” Arma is seems like the video game equivalent of complaining about the difficulty level of putting together IKEA furniture. The controlls can all be re-mapped to whatever you want it to be, there are FANTASTIC guides

That’s a bit unfair. While some of the more complex vehicle and squad controls are indeed...dense, basic infantry stuff isn’t too hard to get a handle on.

I agree with nearly every comment I see on the article so far and would love more clarification. I read it twice but it seems like none of the most obviously common questions were answered. Or does the law not cover the common questions? Clarification that the law doesn’t answer the questions would be nice as well.

Since I cannot read kanji, is it safe to assume that this prohibition on modding primarily revolves around modifying software/hardware for the purpose of resale, or does it extend to applying mods to software for the modder’s personal use (such as popping a new night sky into Skyrim)?

One of those things seems
