If this were a major Hollywood film with how little they resemble the actors they’re supposed to be portraying, we could be confident that their acting must have been excellent enough for the casting directors to overlook their appearance. I don’t think that holds true for Lifetime.

I don’t agree with non Native Americans wearing Native American style headresses but Susan Boyle has special needs and probably doesn’t understand the issue so let’s be kind.

Ugh, I hate this idea that there’s only one way to be feminine. Serena looks amazing and keeps winning. We need more body diversity in the media and sports should be an obvious place to find it, but clearly ideas about what a woman should look like are taking precedence for some people.

They’re not supposed to be misleading that’s why some ads have disclaimers about hair or lash extensions in the UK and Europe.

I’m really interested to see if they explore the long term ramifications of wandering around the desert arbitrarily making borders and declaring people kings, but they probably won’t. The carving up of the former Ottoman Empire has had such an impact on the Middle East and beyond it would be a shame if they make the

It’s possible that the previous comedians I’ve seen him interview for the series he knew very well so had a more naturalistic conversation with them, his questions to Trevor sound like he doesn’t know anything about South Africa rather than saying that must have been difficult tell me about it.

Fully aware it existed and what it was, I would expect any informed adult to have a decent enough knowledge of of the system involved even if they don’t know the full Whites, Coloureds, Blacks divisions. If I got it as a child I don’t see why an adult around at the same time wouldn’t know or be able to grasp what it

I’ve seen previous episodes, he never seemed so ignorant asking other people questions. If it’s supposed to just be an interview technique it’s not really coming across that way to me in this instance. I looked it up and I was 6 when Mandela was released, I’m shocked that anyone older than that wouldn’t be fully aware

I didn’t exactly have a shitton of respect for Jerry Seinfeld before but I’ve lost a lot of respect for him due to his ignorance about apartheid. It happened far away from me too and I was a child but I distinctly remember being aware of it and can tell you where I was when I heard Nelson Mandela was released. I don’t

All of the reviews I’ve seen have said similar things, some are dated before io9, some around the same time, and some after. Perhaps the reaction on twitter caused extra attention for the comic, it seems to be genuinely terrible based on reader reaction and it seems to undermine a lot of what the movie tried to do,

They’re both reviewing a new comic and they’re reviewing it in the light of the movie on which it was based, I don’t find it surprising that they have similar reactions to the comic. Ana Mardoll goes page by page whereas James Whitbrook takes it as a whole, which part of it seems plagiarised to you? IGN are less

Is that Jensen Ackles during the brief window when casting him and Jared Padalecki as brothers would have made way more sense?

How are they going to fit the Daniel twins into a reboot? I’m pretty sure I watched every episode of this show when I was younger, with Sweet Valley High and Sister Sister the 90s were quite twin centric.

I loved Fingersmith it reminded me of The Woman In White by Wilkie Collins. I’d love to see what Park Chan-wook makes of it.

I’d find it easier to believe Diddy’s version of events if he hadn’t hit Nas’ manager with a champagne bottle in an argument over the video for Hate Me Now, he seems to hit people with whatever’s around when he’s angry.

I have apparently seen her in multiple movies but I cannot seem to remember her afterwards, if she wasn’t next to Johnny in the photo above I wouldn’t be sure who she was.

I feel so sorry for Denise, their daughters are old enough to possibly be bullied at school for all the crap Charlie spews to the media but too young to understand that Daddy has the kind of problems that just being good and behaving for him won’t fix.

Thank you very much.
