There will always be a market for compact/midsized sedans but obviously that market doesn’t care much for Chysler’s offerings. Buying cars is the best thing they could do - the last thing they need is to give a new customer a bad experience as they did to so many people who bought sebrings and pt cruisers.

True. But one party gives more lip service to ‘free markets’ which means fewer barriers to entry (among other things). If we’re going to waste money meeting government mandates (like having a dealer license and not being affiliated with the manufacturer) we may as well use the inefficiency to help the down-trodden

But no one really knows. What would the modern world be without overcorrections?

Have you considered the V-strom 650 or FZ07?

That’s the million dollar question. The quality of the metal on my Japanese made Toyotas is incredible (although I think my Korean made Hyundai had the best metal). Perhaps Toyota would sooner source the steel from Korea? But I think Toyota could source steel made by black smiths in China and make cars with the

Eh, from the only Toyota plant with UAW workers and GM meddling. It was probably more reliable than any other pontiac of the time.

Not OP but I share the sentiment. I just think the 4C is more wild. It would be more thrilling and get my blood pumping more than a Porsche. If I were going to spend most of my time on a curvy road or a track, I’d get the Porsche. But I’d commute in this car on nice days. I’d use it to run errands or go places. I need

Agree 100% just going to add my 2 cents for the original poster -

It’d be fantastic if Chrysler bought cars from Mazda.

Throwing in a good looking, household name that competes in the most popular racing series in the world

Every time GM comes out with a midsize car, they insist that they’ve finally made a Camry competitor. The Lumina, the Malibu, and now the 2016 Malibu. I bet it’ll launch right into the middle of the class and the redesigned Camry, Accord, and MMC Fusion will be substantially better.

Yes, just like the Lumina was supposed to be better than the Camry. :)

The Malibu is a Camry with worse quality and the Altima is a Malibu with worse quality and a transmission that mirrors communism insofar that it works better in theory.

Do you need a safe space, child?

Your kid is going to be supernally gifted at shifting in right hand drive cars! It’s great to see someone make something work and finding a way to have fun rather than capitulating to the ‘style’ and ‘livability’ of a Highlander/Explorer.

Yeah, I guess my problem is that sometimes I do a little over 80 on 494.

But the state patrol gets real indignant when you’re moving zippily. And the suburban cops crack down tough on rice and VWs but never seem to hassle the bro dozers. And the Minneapolis/St. Paul police don’t seem to enforce much and the driving in those cities reflects that attitude.

No it doesn’t. California is the only place in the county with a mediterranian climate. The ‘South’ has a humid subtropical climate.

If you drive the SS, write a Kinja about it. It seems fantastic.

Eh. I agree that this is what a circa 2016 WRX STI should be like. But this does not have the Subaru saftey factor. If the drivetrain can’t handle much more than 350 horsepower, it means there are going to be considerable expenses on the way to 400 whp.
