What reeeeally gets me about that narrative is so the fuck what? Even if she knew her ex was a drug dealer (allegedly) she wasn’t with him anymore. She was with a new fucking man at the time of her death. If every person who ever associated with a drug dealer was shot in the middle of the night would that be okay?

The laws need to be changed. Even if these cops did knock and say “It’s the police” before breaking the door down, what the laws seem to assume is that residents can automatically hear and understand that announcement.

Even if the officers didn’t knock and announce their presence (and I think they are lying when they say they did), they had a no-knock warrant.
