Booksmart was fun, but nothing I would consider award winning. Hustlers was shockingly boring.

“I mean, there’s no fucking way Todd Haynes deserves a nomination.”

And he didn’t, so...

Fucking hilarious. He didn’t say anything about it in the interview, and all the news blogs assigned and assumed.

He doesn’t identify that way. He doesn’t have to. That's really all there is to it.

Eh, not sure about that. He doesn’t move between identifying as a man and a woman. He’s talking about a man embracing the aspects of his being that would on their own be labeled feminine. No one who rocks a cape as stylishly as Lando ignores his inner female.

What you’re not understanding is that this is how acting works as an industry. It’s not constant work, even for many people who are a lot more famous than this guy. Massoud is also booked to work in TV, so he should just shut TF up and worry about that.

100% agree. It’s nice to stick on his CV, but nobody outside his circle of friends saw this movie because of him. I hope this guy did not think that this movie would be an easy ticket to mega-stardom, and that his phone would start ringing off the hook.

I was never a fan of the Young British Artists because they gave us so many hack fraud con-men like Hirst, and was pretty much praised in the UK because this mostly white well do to Brits were making gobs of money off of anything they touched and called art. I consider it a pretty low point in UK art as a whole and

I’m not sure Tracey Emin can be considered “new” in any kind of era. My mum’s disliked Tracey Emin for being Messy and Unlikeable for as long as I can remember, and I’m no where near as young as that sentence makes me sound!

It’s also too bad he didn’t START the trilogy.

Any waitress who throws a 15% tip back in your face is downright insane. Tipping is getting out of hand, but most still consider 15% generous, even though I usually tend to go a little above that. Even 10% it is usually considered reasonable for sub-optimal service.

That person doesn't deserve a tip period if they are going to throw it in your face. They don't deserve to have a job there either, and I personally would have told the manager. That's unacceptable.

If the service is bad you should not leave any tip. Their job is service if they can't do it they should change it.

Nobody should ever throw a 15% tip back in your face. It's still the customary rule. But within my circle of friends, we usually stay in the neighborhood of a 20% restaurant tip. I consider 15% more of the minimum acceptable amount.

if they threw the tip back in your face. Keep it. They just worked below minimum wage for being a jerk

I struggle with differentiating service occupations from non-service occupations. Tipping waitstaff? Sure. Tipping a hairdresser or a manicure/pedicure tech or a masseuse? I tip in all those situations though I'm a little uncomfortable with having to do so. With waitstaff it's clear I'm being charged for the food and

Agreed. The finer points of tipping etiquette are far more internet fascination than practical reality. I tip at restaurants, I tip bartenders, my barber, the pizza guy, the valet, hand car washes, taxi drivers, and I'd probably tip a bellhop if I ever needed one. All the rest are completely unnecessary. And I agree

I was born here and I find it strange/confusing sometimes as well. I lived with 4 roommates in college that all worked in the restaurant business and they were always weird about tips. They generally over-tipped people when I went out with them. I always tip at least 15% at restaurants. If the service was extra good I

Having traveled around the USA a few months ago I have to say I find your tipping culture quite strange. I was never sure how much to tip or who to tip. In some restaurants I went to a 15% tip was more than enough and in others it was considered an insult. This lead to one waitress in Chicago throwing my tip back in

Why exactly are you tipping for most of these things? For wait staff it makes complete sense because they make less than minimum wage (which I still think is wrong). But why would I tip someone like the tow truck guy? Most of these jobs make a fair wage, so why should I tip them for just doing what I already pay
