Running a search for the firm on the message boards (if it is big enough to be well known) might be helpful to find out the type of info that won't be on the official website.…

I get that the ambassador doesn't need to have hard core diplomatic qualifications, but shouldn't she at least have the capacity to be diplomatic (by which I mean nice to people)? Even in the UK, I would expect the ambassador to be able to avoid actively pissing people off.
