I already corrected that in a reply. And I wasn't thinking of the women, I misread the standings for the men's event finals, which I had to look up since I wasn't able to watch them this year.

My apologies - the Bronze in the All-Around was the only medal. My point still stands though.
An American man won the Bronze in the All-Around, and the team placed fifth, a respectable if not great result. They also won three medals (Gold, Silver, Bronze) in the event finals.
I wouldn't say it's clear cut, but it fulfills the requirements of commercial misappropriation. See http://www.citmedialaw.org/legal-guide/using-name-or-likeness-another.
I kind of want that coloring book. I don't even want it ironically! What is wrong with me?
Huh. Thanks, I always kinda wondered why that was.
This really makes me wish Catwoman were real. She would CLEAN UP with these idiots.
Also randomly, my uncle lives in Ontario (transplant from the US, his wife is Canadian) and every time he comes to visit, he takes back cases of Mountain Dew because apparently the Canadian version doesn't have caffeine. Weird little quirk.
When I was in my first year of law school, the Federalist Society brought in some guy (I think from the Cato Institute) to explain to us that the wage gap was due to the "fact" that women and minorities just didn't work as hard as white men. There was nearly a riot, and he was eviscerated by the smartest of our…
But wouldn't this depend on where in the park she was working? What I mean is Disney trades in stereotypical representations of certain cultures. So if Ms. Boudlal worked in the German section of the park, it is entirely possible that a bare head would fit with the "German" costume, but a hijab would not. Adding a…
I love that dress! Also, Gabby just looks so adorable in her outfit. Gold dresses FTW!
If you compare this to states ranked by population below the poverty level, there is a depressing correlation right down to Mississippi being ranked #1: http://usliberals.about.com/od/Election2012Factors/a/Poverty-Level-Households-By-State.htm
I've always been pretty "meh" on Taylor Swift. I wasn't in her target audience by the time she started making music, and I have a hard time respecting musicians who can't sing live and rely so heavily on autotune.
Recommendation: Though not by a female author, the neo noir Baby Shark has a strong female protagonist and was very enjoyable. It's about a Texas pool hustler who is out for revenge after some thugs beat her father to death in front of her and leave her for dead.
While I don't have general advice other than "throw yourself in there" (which I realize is difficult to do), I can offer you reassurance that law school will help create your friends for you. I'm not sure how large of a school you are going to, but it is such a unique and weird experience that you will end up turning…
I would have some respect for that, misguided though it may be, but I'm pretty sure he is just posting anything geared at making Obama look bad. He's from my law school graduating class, so he's out of school.
Republicans seem to be going into Distract and Deflect Mode. A few days ago, a Republican friend posted this on Facebook: "Women working in the Obama re-election campaign earn 5.3% less than men doing the same job. What's up with that, Mr. President?"
How sad. Why couldn't he have just restored it? It looked like it had really nice bones.
That stinks. I have an unusual name too, and children were occasionally pretty mean about it. I think Saoirse is a beautiful name though!
I am so excited for this! I agree with you - I think she will be just wonderful as Mary.
