The thing about the library is that she could have asked for one when they were looking at houses. They were looking at mansions, with dozens of rooms—it wouldn’t have been a big ask. Mr. Peanutbutter was reacting to her lack of interest in the house, by trying to make part of it hers. Why Diane didn’t assert what she

Monarchy has never seemed so vestigial.

I’m mostly trying to figure out how the hell they aren’t in the grays.

The Belle room was her personal fantasy, dating back to her troubled childhood. What Mr. Peanutbutter gave her was his interpretation of it. While it was not how he intended the gesture, he essentially took a dream that she cherished and shattered it.

...so, either you’re a troll or have no idea how human sexuality works. Thanks for informing me!

Alright, I’ve been dying to bring this up here since I spent way too long researching this yesterday after my rewatch of the series.

-cough- Or asexuals (Like anecdotal I know but like istg the most supportive of ace people I tend to run into tend to be bi/pan folks and I notice a lot of ‘anti ace’ arguments do read often like ‘reskinned’ biphobic comments)

The problem is that this isn’t dividing people up into those groups because those groups already exist, it’s just actually talking about them for once.

I oftentimes wonder how the writers do it with this show. Diane’s reaction to Mr. Peanutbutter’s library gesture was like looking at an optical illusion - with a variety of possible images that can be seen. You sit down and watch it, and think her reaction is entirely selfish, and borderline cruel to someone who

You mean something like this?

And like, the books were fake. Which is a funny joke at first, but then you realize that he missed the whole point of why someone would want a library to begin with.

Is Princess Carolyn on her way to happiness though? Sure, her career might maybe be on the way up, but she’s destroyed her relationships with Ralph and Judah, her body seems to be letting her down, she’s grieving her babies and she’s developing a drinking problem. She’s ending the season like BoJack usually would.

Diane opting out of the discussion of the house was a big red flag about committed she feels to the relationship.

-I saw it on Tumblr, so it’s not like an original observation, but if anyone’s ever read Henrik Ibsen, Beatrice’s story has similar themes to A Doll House(women’s roles, marriage, family, etc). Which is kind of interesting, cause Beatrice clearly read Ibsen and liked his work. Now we know she probably related to it on

She was probably hurt before, but the gesture pushed her over the edge.

Since then though, it hasn’t fulfilled the promise of an election-based season for the series.

That’s too much, man.

At least you started to realize it. I never put it together until Princess Carolyn described how it was her coping mechanism, and I practically begged the show not to cut to the credits.

Kristen Schaal was nominated for this year’s Emmys, for Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance. She lost to Seth MacFarlane, for Family Guy, in what was obviously a travesty.

When first watching this I bought into the framing device. I thought, “Ok, even if things look shitty now Princess Carolyn had a family and everything worked out because that charming cat girl is talking about her”.
