Thank you. Just... been a long week man.

It usually does, though. Rosa Parks was not the first candidate.

And he sticks the landing.

Most all of them get to me. It’s a life lost. This is terrible when you obey the law and do things the right way and still die for NOTHING.

EVERYONE needs to join this conversation. This shit keeps happening partly because not enough people are joining the conversation. What we need too is for COPS to start joining it and quit standing up for their “brothers” when they fuck up like this.

I’m tired of “cop got scared” as an excuse. How scared can you be with a gun and a bulletproof vest? And if you are still *that* scared, you need to rethink your vocation. This is not about their fear. It’s hunting season.

Our culture teaches us to watch "bad guys" being gunned down in movies and enjoy it. We are supposed to enjoy watching those people die. When you intersect that with societal racism, were white culture often sees black men and women as "bad guys", you wind up with an empathy problem. I'm glad you're working on

I guess we finally have the “perfect victim” don’t we? Here’s the fucking test case, because if the cops don’t get convicted or charged here, the system should appear truly fucked even to the casual white, middle-aged observer who listens to too much talk radio.

Thanks for speaking up. But the most important place to speak up is with your friends and family and community. Speak up when you hear other people express skepticism at this American reality. You have a privilege as a white person that I do not as a black woman - you might be present when the endemic racism that

I feel ya.

Well, it is good for us to be conscious and make sure we aren't dominating the conversation, or making it about us. People are really good at making other people's tragedies about us.

I remember seeing a stat mot long after Tamir Rice’s murder that 83% of police brutality complaints were filed against 6% of the cops.

I think he’s just saying that this victim is beyond reproach. In most of the previous incidents, the victims had a criminal record. I’m not saying that excuses anything. It absolutely does not. But, in this instance there are NONE of the other factors that people bring up as to why it is really the victim’s fault and

Yeah that stupid excuse is tiring, isn’t it?

This is what really killed me...from Lavish’s video.

Comment from my bestie on my outraged FB post this morning:

A finished degree should be a requirement to qualify for loan relief. With special exceptions of course. Repeated failure out of school? pay up mister.

There are sooo many variables and so little data available that it’s a completely useless statement. Nothing but an empty marketing talking point.

My father is a retired police officer. The first time my mom ever saw my dad cry was 13 years into their marriage. He was the first officer on the scene of a murder-suicide; a father killed his 2yo daughter and then himself. My dad came home that day and she found him in their bedroom crying.

Stop taking humans out of the equation. Stop applying bandages to a problem that can be solved by just teaching young Americans how to drive properly. Human beings went from shitting behind rocks to ruling (then ruining) the planet. The more reliant we become on technology the more complacent and ill prepared we
