VINDICATION! I’m so sick of arguing with people that say because it has less moving parts there’s nothing that can go wrong. That’s bullshit. But to be fair, frankly so are CR rankings, so I’ll just be quiet now.
The problem with Tesla is it isn’t simplifying its cars. Nobody asked for Falcon wing doors. Not really sure how much extra range you get out of sliding door handles. The more crap you add to your car, the more things can go wrong.
Before anyone says “But warranty!!”, imagine fixing these issues OUT of warranty (which isn’t too far away for some of the first model year cars).
What the driver did was, in terms of potential outcomes, was no different than pulling out a handgun and firing. Anything the biker did was completely separate from the auto driver, and would be dealt with separately in legal proceedings.

I can’t stop thinking how much water is going to get in while its raining... :/
They make me say, “I have plenty of money to buy one of these, but can’t for the life of me identify why I’d want this thing over a much less expensive and just as serviceable alternative.”
Damn that thing is ugly. It’s like an Aztek made love to a Prius, and then someone decided it was worth so much more than both combined.
The Model X - The answer to the question: What would it take to make a really neat minivan?
I predict an abrupt spike in teenage mortality.
