Same here in a PA swing (his name is escaping me right now, which is unfortunate). He lost (the woman he lost to is actually also pretty damn liberal she just lacks the public charisma* I associate with Ocasio-Cortez) but I really hope he runs for something again.

It's almost like its infinitely easier to motivate people to vote for something positive, instead of against something negative.......

We had a democrat a lot like her running down here in a swing district in Texas named Rick Trevino.  He was great.  I hope he runs again somewhere.  

Her yacht example is decidedly on-point. Everyone can see how stupid tax breaks for yacht owners are. More examples like this, Democrats, please!

This, America. THIS is what you do when you want to beat the establishment. You don’t elect some loudmouthed ignorant self-serving dipshit when you want to shake things up. You elect people like this. Take notes. 

Hey Democrats, the reason she won is she energized non-voters to come out and vote for her with fantastic, modern ideas. Your oh so careful polling missed this because you do not bother to poll the people who made the difference in her primary win.

I love her ideas. We need a whole bunch more of her.

When I was a wee lass I had to write a paragraph about my hero for school. Everyone else wrote about their dads or the president or firefighters or famous sports people or whatever. I wrote mine about Elaine Benes. I’m pretty proud of that one.

And like clockwork they go to the “I’m sorry YOU were offended” line.

Anyhoo...Kinja  ate what I JUST typed: I am glad JLD is recovering and vacationing well. I like Veep but I think of something funny related to Elaine almost daily. She was the best character/part of Seinfeld every time.

This is super fucked up. People can and do die during complications from miscarriages in this country, even with medical care, so to just deny care altogether? Man, fuck them.
