I was taking look at the original contest post to see if maybe there was some rule I missed and that's why so many entries I liked (mine included) didn't make the cut, I noticed that what I took to be the word Imaginary was actually imagery, which means an image which invokes one or more of the five senses. I have a

Hmm I like it! Except for the fact that you only get 20 comments per page now... Oh well Still gets an 8 out of ten Kotaku -K's-

HMMM... reading through the comments looking at all the admissions that didn't make the cut. Seems that if your game wasn't a 360 title you were auto-disqualified. Not to be a whiny bitch, but I wish they would have said x-box 360 only...

ARG!!! Why wasn't my entry chosen to be a finalist?!

* I take exception to items which are specifically bought separately.

True my argument does come across a little contradictory doesn't it... hmm... Well I guess what I was trying to imply was that these virtual items are an aspect of the game not a separate commodity. valuable in an emotional way only because those running the game give it aspects that making playing funner and maintain

The fact is that the objects in games do not have any value aside from emotional or sentimental. You are not paying for these objects with your subscription, you are paying to play in a fictional world where these objects just happen to exist. GMs are reluctant to replace some synthetically rare items because doing so

two dollars is nothing. I would pay a measly two dollars for proto-man any day in any game. Sure it would have been nice to bundle it with the original game, but would you all be bitching if they had done that and then just happened to have charged two dollars more... that's right NO you wouldn't. So whats the

Wow first DS game I've been excited about in a long time.

I personally say he should have the guts to stand by what he made, offensive, crude or whatever... I'm so sick of people making things that are shocking(and rarely sometimes thought provoking as well) and then wussing out when they come under fire. I wish someone for once would be like "yes I made the game HONKY

When I was 5 I begged my parents to let me be Mario for Halloween, hope they didn't get in too much trouble.

Original Mario Party; Paddle Battle

This game, like Black-and-White and Fable, seems to have sparked an angry backlash of trolls who were expecting so much more. Why they were expecting so much more when we've been looking at screens and videos for months is beyond me but... In my opinion the game is everything I was looking forward to, lots of

I adore the mountain goats and almost anything mario flavored so this is a big Hooray! for ME!

It's weird but I have exactly the opposite preference.

Wow I'm deeply moved. Seriously.

Anything is art if you intend it to be art. If we've learned anything from Andy Warhol or Jasper Johns or Jackson Pollock or even "performance artist" it must be this fact. Whether offensive or meaningless or crude or merely attention-seeking or shocking, if you meant to make art you've got art.

What offends me most in situations like this are the people who are not offended by said art but get offended on behalf of those they think might be offended by it. IMO using something so obviously laden with emotional land-mines to get attention is tacky and just shows bad taste, but why Why why does everyone have to
