Dear Kotaku: Add a downvote option so I can mark an article as clickbait. I'm tired of this. For every halfway decent, insightful article you have, there are 3 bullshit click-bait pseudo-feminist pieces of tripe. You clearly didn't learn perspective or anatomy, nor did the person who did the render. Luke doesn't seem

Sure, you're looking for comedy. and honestly, the person who created the original render probably was too, but the problem I'm having with it is that people are treating this drawing as an actual problem, rather than looking towards things which are actual problems.

I'm sorry, but I feel that all of the hate being directed at this whole 'issue' (no pun intended) is due to the artist's reputation. If someone else (who hadn't come out of the adult comics industry) had drawn this cover, I don't think so many people would have made such a big deal over it.

It's also clearly not what was shown in the picture.

The one you first posted seems farther from the drawing. in the drawing she's clearly coming onto the roof, hence why the leg is different, it's still supposed to be hanging over the building.

Seriously. It's "sexy" so it's offensive. *yawn* God forbid women can be presented as hot anymore. Sexism! Anyway, internet and all that. Politically correct Kotaku tries to be avant-garde and all that.

The irony is that all of this outrage looks even less genuine when you keep in mind that Gawker is currently posting links to the leaked nude-photos of Jennifer Lawrence and other celebrities.

That's actually the most invalid thing I've ever seen from The Oatmeal.
If it actually WAS Spider-Man doing the same thing, everyone would realize they're bitching about nothing.

It's literally one of Spider-Man's most common poses, of which there are like, what, thousands of variations?

This is idiotic. The "proof", I mean.
It proves nothing more than some idiot doesn't know how 3D models work.

That one involves men, so no one cares.

Shhh. Don't point out how stupid this all is. The feminists will come after you.

While I agree completely with the intent behind this, multiple comments in the previous article on io9 already showed that this render is ridiculously inaccurate and ridiculous. Call it out on being sexist, but don't try and say it isn't doable, as that's not even a real argument. Look at any Spider-Man comic, he does

Ummm... that's not even the same render in the 2 pictures you show. Learn to journalism? Maybe learn to read?

Someone on Imgur did this also, and they showed that a very flexible woman (Like a super hero) could easily do that pose.

Someone already did it before him, Luke:

Here at gawker stables, we have a ton of dead horses to beat, just for you! We'll beat those dead horses to putty, or you money back!

I'm generally a feminist sympathizer. I agree there's some serious problems and opportunities to seize when it comes to women in videogames and that some people like Anita Sarkeezian do have some honest to goodness arguments going on for it.

very stupid

Now playing

Stop listening to Kotaku's stories. Investigate the truth!
