If the NFL loves the troops as much as it claims, they could probably figure out a way to cover costs for the broadcasts.

Me, reading that joke:

My how Derrick Rose has fallen. He only got one more vote than me.

Dwayne Bacon has sizzled on the court all year!

Any take on this subject that is not “pierce is petty as hell and should stop being an asshole” is objectively wrong.

Now playing

Fuck Paul Pierce forever and ever and ever and ever.

Is there still a minority hiring gap though? There were 7 black head coaches this past regular season, about 22%. Wikipedia says that America is 12.6% black/AA. I would say that is a pretty decent representation.

Nepotism is so far down the line as to the reason there aren’t more black head coaches. Look up “racial stacking” in football, that right there is the #1 reason. Everyone wants a former QB or center to be the O.C., no one is interviewing the former WR/RB.

How in earth is the percentage of black players vs black coaches relevant?

Do you like the Rooney rule? I think it’s garbage. No matter how well-intentioned it is, all it does is lead to sham, token interviews.

*sigh* Joe Buck, Dick Vitale, Chris Mortensen, Stuart Scott (RIP), and on and on and on and on did not play sports.

Dude, there are some things in the world that aren’t racial issues. It’s true!

What is that, some type of homophobic slur?

So hard to sell a small company for fair value. Hard to find someone with the capital to pay what it is worth. And nothing wrong with trying to put your kids in a spot to be successful. What is the point of being successful in the first place if you can’t avail yourself to that option.

She should hire this guy to be her CEO. His Deadspin comment was all I needed to conclude he is the man for this job.

No. By definition, nepotism restricts opportunities for people that aren’t related to coaches. Race has nothing to do with it.

I hate to break it to you, but in a world overrun by Walmart and Target, there actually is tremendous value in being able to market yourself as a family-run business.

I was the sous chef at a restaurant years ago. The executive chef was related to 4 people on the second shift, including his younger brother. Imagine how little actual power I had over my employees.

What did you think his plan would be? Give you the company because you are such a good worker?

Idk bud, women owned businesses get a lot of advantages when it comes to getting government contracts. Sounds like you need to make a sweet deal with her
