I mentioned below, but I’m happy loaning the government some money since I get my refunds in Amazon gift cards with Amazon’s ‘110% back’ program.

My wife gets an annual bonus. We allocate a hunk towards our next vacation, a hunk towards our next home improvement, and a hunk towards savings. A final hunk goes to her for splurge money. It’s never part of the monthly budget.

Way back then, I went through a broker. The 80's-90's was the rise of the discount brokers so they were all pushing for your business and had really cheap transaction fees.

You don’t need much to get going. My first investment in the stock market was $53 when I was 21.

And I threw the celery out the window into a nearby tornado

Can’t they just toss it into the microwave like Apple advertised?

I was thinking the same thing. I don’t lead a life of larceny but if I did beef jerky would be on my watch list.

I use cable ties instead of locks and don’t put anything valuable in the suitcases. TSA cuts them off and leaves the “we inspected your luggage” note inside almost every time we fly.

We usually go out for special meals since I normally cook 5 dinners each week. I’ve done this for the past 30 years, so me cooking a meal is no big thing. Her Valentines-birthday combo dinner is at a nice restaurant.

I’m hitting grocery today for a special ‘Hershey Bar and Cheese Whiz Valentine Surprise’ for my sweetie.

I was relying on the much older legal concept of “dibs”* and PenSword having those rights. :-)

That’s absurd. It’s breakfast food so it doesn’t...um...doesn’t need.....hmmm...

I told this to Wifey last night and she loved the name. I quickly reminded her that it was ‘taken’ and, therefore, ineligible to be used on me.

Here, here. My wife is a big fan of fruity, frozen drinks but I have convinced of the civilized nature of a simple daiquiri, sipped on the deck on a summer’s eve after dinner.

Exactly!

I’m looking at something similar to use under my deck. I need the solar collector to be separate from the motion sensor/light piece.

Will this handle the evaporation issue?

I used to file during the first week in February every year. But now it seems that at least one of my 1099s is always delayed past 1/31. They send me a postcard/email about “The Dates Your Tax Documents Will Be Ready” and I end up waiting. Thank goodness the FAFSA days are past us now....

I’d be sharing about how “I got things so hot that my girlfriend’s panties literally burst into flame” the rest of my life.
