I've seen a smattering of episodes—maybe a dozen—from throughout the show's run, and I've really enjoyed them. And then I saw Bunheads and thought it was unconventional and fantastic. These reviews are going to be my excuse for finally giving this show a serious watch.

So glad that they finally paid off, "I'm gonna win her back" from season four's montage of five-word declarations that every man says and every man regrets. It has been sincerely bugging me this whole time.

I know it has been years since I've seen Signs—I saw it once, when it was in theaters, and that's it—but I can't for the life of me fathom how anyone thought it was good, let alone better than Unbreakable. I've only ever wanted to walk out of a theater once in my life, and Signs was it.

I'm surprised the AV Club considers Signs the first step in a long, slow decline. At the time, I thought Signs was an incredibly sharp dropoff from Shyamalan's previous two movies, and he's just been coasting around the same terrible level ever since.

Yeah, the show should have been called Paradise, but such is life. Here's hoping for four more years.

Anyone know the premise of Switched At Birth?

@inko8:disqus , that was actually more than one of them. At least the first and the third. I can't remember if the second does.

@avclub-cd01e5786d65f27654ca570edef28c69:disqus , I'm sad that I won't live to see Space Cracked.

Yeah, it came close.

Yeah, it came close.

We can finally move on with our lives. Maybe this will be like that XKCD comic that sets you free from playing The Game…

Well, at least we FINALLY got a payoff to the stuff about midi-chlorians. Seriously, after 14 years, I'll take any resolution I can get. So, yeah, fine, they were set up in PHANTOM MENACE so they could be paid off in CORRESPONDENTS' LUNCH. Resolution established.

The Captain is an "ass captain?" I thought he was a boat captain…

Federal Agent Bradley Cooper? Is this a backdoor Twin Peaks spin-off?

@avclub-754537075c5105c55477db49c94d584f:disqus , he means an episode of Breaking Bad wherein the two lead characters are trapped in a single room the entire time and we don't see or hear from anyone else. It's generally revered but has some naysayers.

@avclub-ea93d61158b479315c8e0d4cd003ec35:disqus , if you think the fourth-wall-breaking is a setback, this may not be the right show for you. His running commentary on what's going on and his private reactions to what he's being forced to do are sort of the biggest point of the show. It's kind of like that character

@MyNameIsNoneOfYourGoddamnBusin, That's good news! Because, if HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER has taught us anything, it's that syndication does nothing but good for the quality of new episodes of currently airing shows.
