I have always wondered about roof rack weight limits with these things. Seems like a Kia rating limit is 220 lbs (as is Volvo, for example) That is less than 2 people, and we aren’t including the weight of the tent/storage clamshell. 

From what I can tell from my occasional forays into NextDoor, this does not stop porch piracy AT ALL.
