Im probably the only one here that thinks the price for this is actually very reasonable, considering it is a Porsche made part. I had a 987 Cayman and to buy the upgraded PCM alone (not including the nav computer) was over 3K for the part. This, at half the price well over a decade later..seems fantastic.

It would be a good followup to see if this program covers the cost of the charger, or the cost of the charger including its installation. Those can be VERY different things. (the press release makes no clarification) Most L2 chargers are not particularly expensive; getting power to them can be a very different matter.

I expected more jorts despite the cold temps..

I got my son (now 11) into Dr Who a few years ago.. and your comment is spot on. it is so stretched out that everyone looses interest in the show. We were talking about the new season and he told me that it’s hard to be excited about the show because there are too few episodes, spread out over years. Granted, he is

A hot take written by someone who doesn’t know a thing about cars (or car finishes)

I know Ill end up sitting in the grays and this will be lost but.. I would recommend an i3S. Ive had both the regular i3 and the S version: the bit of suspension tuning, wider wheels and tires, and a touch more power make it a lot more enjoyable to drive and despite the short wheelbase it has better highway manners

I thought the same, but given they used heat shielding elsewhere.. perhaps they found it not necessary. Given how quickly the can is depressurizing from fueling the jets, it might be ice cold despite the proximity to the engine components.

This is a real car lifehack. Especially for drying wheels off a bit and the engine bay for times when the dirt in there becomes excessive.

Or M cars with forced induction...

Can you hold Elon’s beer for him?...

That is the state of these sites now.. noone understands how the industries work although they are the “experts” writing about them, and anything less that perfect simply gets a hot-take/ snarkly post. Jalopnik is even worse..

Same with my 2017 Volvo V60 P*... Using 3G was common for a lot of manufacturers.

I would also think that this shield system, when packed away, will be better protected from micrometeors and other debris until it was ready for deployment.

I was about 13 or 14 and I went with my father to a Toyota dealer because he was interested in purchasing a Land Cruiser. After about 30 minutes of nonsense from the sales guy (who looked like the parody of a bad car salesman with a toothpick hanging out of his mouth), my dad makes them a very fair offer for one.

Hot Take: It’s cool. It is like a Jeff Koons gallery inside a watch. In the 7 figure watch category, its fun, doesn’t take itself too serious.. it realizes the absurdity of a timepiece that is the price of several homes, many cars; an amount of money that would be fundamentally life changing for most people.

I agree, the phone is the real star here.. makes so much more sense than the folding OLED designs.

NP This is making me want to sell my GT6+...

I had one as well.. I would suggest against it as a roadtripping car due to the gas use. It gets 15mpg in only the best conditions.. if you are enjoying the car its much closer to 11. Ignoring the price of gas.. it also has a small tank given how thirsty it is, which is a nice, consistent reminder of how much fuel it

Damn! I haven’t used Turo yet.. and now I never will.

Perhaps Niemann has extensively studied how AI plays the game and is emulating it for an advantage. Carlsen is a crybaby.
