Seriously. That says it. Thanks apierion.

Just a quick FYI. NASA's full budget, at it's height, was equivalent to less than what the US spends in a week on the war on terror. I'm not saying one thing or the other about the war. I'm saying that when we say we don't have the money, it's literally a fraction of 1% of the war budget that gets allotted to NASA.

I agree. That can be a good thing though. There have been bids and estimates from private contractors on NASA's past and future missions citing costs far below what NASA and Congress have currently estimated for various budgets. Maybe all it takes is for the private sector and the corporate world to have a stake in

DO. WANT. MORE. THAN. ANYTHING!

IT'S A THOUGHT EXPERIMENT FOLKS! Aren't those just for the halibut? No need to get upset.

I thought scrub jays and other corvids were shown to have episodic memory (Clayton & Emery 2005)...doesn't that imply a kind of reasoning, if they cache food due to remembering either stealing food themselves, or having food stolen?

I'm an Empire guy. Episode 5 all the way. And I like A New Hope better than RotJ too. So really, it's my least favorite. Episodes I-III don't exist.

It doesn't require that you are literally asleep all that time. Hibernation refers to the slowing of body processes (and yes, a lot of subsequent sleep), not actual unconsciousness.

Why would Jesus print up a menu? Haha I'm sorry I couldn't resist.

Nicely done.

The james bond was Die Another Day, the Y was Yojimbo.

"Red eye" from cowboy bebop! Gives you heightened speed, strength and reaction time; administered as a spray on the eyeball.

I think the purpose of that statement was to say that "often time physicists give this response" and then discuss that response. It was just one answer of several from within the scientific community when asked. I think our noble physicist was saying "we don't know, but here are some possible answers that are given."

Understood. There are TONS of comments on here now, but as for this reply you left for my earlier post, I'll say touche. I agree, when someone's right to hold something as truth infringes on the rights of another, it's no longer their 'right' to do so in a capacity that forces conformity or delivers any

Spot on, good chap.
