I just saw the Untouchables on TV yesterday, did you? "Never give up! Never surrender!" - Elliot Ness (Kevin Costner)

good point(s).

My favorite people on io9 are Lovecraft fans. Kudos good sir or madam. We are well met.

I like this fella (or gal)

This is why I'm a big H.P. Lovecraft fan. The horror of the unknown grips my gut far more than gruesome depictions or descriptions. I think we all surprise ourselve with what we conjure in our own minds when we are left to visualize or imagine the real horror with what's already in our heads.

@Saiwyn Hy: i have known many priests, monks and nuns in my lifetime, and all of them are human. they all have misgivings because they all are imperfect and have the same struggles with self, identity and belief (in something or in nothing)that we all have. I think it's normal and appropriate for anyone to have

@Boas_MC: you, sir or madam, are onto something. thumbs up.

Skynet will have a heyday (spelling?) with this tech. Damn.

wasn't this same short posted on io9 a few months ago? not to say i didn't enjoy it this time too :)

@skywalker993: but Peter Parker IS a scrawny, squirrely, dorky dude! :) No harm done, I say.

I haven't read any Mieville, but love Haruki Murakami. I've heard and read (here, actually) that their styles are similar. China, I'll give you a go.

@djscruffy: Agree; they don't seem like they'll prove/disprove anything with so many variables.

But what about mutations due to radiation and/or zero gravity? Weren't there studies on the International Space Station about exactly that over the last few years? Hmn...OMFG, we'll be bringing back SUPER BACTERIA!!!

@gmuslera: Quakes underground actually aren't that much of a problem, as the shock is felt on the surface. But I agree that space should be the ultimate goal.

Loved it. I had a shit eating grin on my face nearly the whole episode. I agree with ElimGarak though, that it is a little sad to see failure or misgiving with so many characters, but it didn't ruin it for me. I laughed, I cried, I peed a little. Bravo, Doc. Bravo Jackson. PS though, Brock called the Outrider

@FrankN.Stein: "Mine Furer! I can walk!" hahahaha I love that you put Dr. S. up there.

Does anyone else just NOT feel great about Ryan Reynolds getting all these parts? I think he's hilarious and does great with certain roles, but couldn't someone less sarcastic, less mainstream and more badass in general do a much more fantastic GL???
