I would have kept going; sometimes we finished together or I helped her finish. In this instance she was done and asked me to stop. Her understanding of her body and consent matter more in this situation than my ego or your hot take.

I find Advance Wars easier to get into than FE. I don’t wanna have to manage relationships and class changes, equipment and skills. I just wanna deploy units and use them.

My main problem with the game in general was that the paragon/renegade factor of the original trilogy (and a lot of BW games in the past) was that you really had no chance to be really evil or badass with the character of Ryder like you could with Shep, should you have chosen to do so. To say nothing of glory years…

I actually couldnt disagree with the Ryder-offspring-to-Shepard thing more—Ryder for my playthrough seemed far more passive a character and more of an optimist than I ever saw Shepard be in ME1. It almost seemed to me that they went out of their way to make the character different than Shep, no matter what the cost.

I didnt give a crap about the main character in ME:A, and really, that spells doom for me in a story-driven game. Shepard, while he/she became much more badass in the 2nd game, was great from the beginning.
