For a brief blissful moment, I thought this might’ve had something to do with Carnivale. Oh well, back to good ‘ol suicide for me.

Rooting for them to go 0-16 was the last time I rooted for them. Even then I thought they’d manage a way to squeak out a win against a team resting guys for the playoffs.

PAY ATTENTION TO ME! Positive attention is best but in the absence of that, he’ll take negative attention.

I ate my very old AVC account RichTheEpithet. He’s dead.

Trump’s rhetoric is isolationist. He’ll happily let his admin renegotiate NAFTA as long as it means it gives him cover to say he “fixed” it or “got a better deal”. He doesn’t care about the details which is why Wall Street is fine with his bluster.

As in most things, you give up usability when you go for more flexibility. I appreciate the total freedom they seemed to be going for but in practice I’m willing to bet most people rarely switched profiles.

They ran into this problem because they made the decision to give you access to (almost) every power from the start. So now you’ve got this design issue of giving people the ability to fire off any of a couple dozen powers more or less on the fly.

On the XBone you can switch profiles easily enough (select button or w/e

Why would it matter if it was canon or not? There’s basically nothing that would impact the original trilogy’s universe until something like 600 years past the end of ME3.

The official cancellation will suck so much harder after you finish the game. It finishes on such an upbeat & fun note. There’s so much potential.

The worst thing about Profiles is that as soon as you switch them, all the powers immediately enter their full cool-down state. A simple fix would’ve been tying cool-down

If there’s one thing I understand less than the black experience, it’s advertising and marketing. How the fuck was that ad supposed to sell soap? Is this just trying to promote a brand / company in the eyes of black people?

FWIW, I liked the ad, I got chills at the end AND THEN the P&G logo pops up and it feels

They would say in the past, I think, “This is worth fighting for,” but by the same token they would say, “but we can’t make a difference.” We’ve got to make sure that they understand that in fact through coalition-building, through their unions and working with other organizations within our communities, they can make

This reminds me of the Boxwar mod for the original Half Life. Everyone was a box or crate in maps that were full of inanimate boxes and crates. Was a bit of fun, if a bit shallow.

There are criticisms and then there is shared sentiment. ME:A can be fairly criticized for a number of reasons (the crafting system is pure pain). The sentiment seems to be “ME:A is basically Hitler in video game form”. That doesn’t seem to be inline with the game I played, which is a good and fun game if sometimes

The opening few hours were boring. A trait Andromeda shares with ME1 (though Andromeda’s opening is way better).

I agree with everything you wrote except the notion that gamer community would be embarrassed by its hysteria. Sadly par for the course.

a small team remains in place to work on Mass Effect: Andromeda’s multiplayer and patch support (which isn’t done yet)

Why then is Hollywood spared equal measures of scrutiny, belly button examining and accusations of Nazi worship, with a few exceptions?
