This is a foreign notion to me. There’s a wrong way for someone to be creative?

I like that you kick things off with what you view as a pejorative, “sjw” and then complain about getting responses in kind. That’s not a good way to initiate an actual discussion if that was your goal.

Can you copy-paste this again? I think next time I will read it better.

The ability to control the camera naturally, as opposed to using a second joystick, is better than a gimmick. I’ve seen plenty of people who aren’t “core” gamers struggle with the camera controls in games like Lucky’s Tale that would otherwise appeal to them. It’s not a revolution in gaming but it could help make it

Russia is not alone. The US armed services were mandated to have 1/3rd of their ground combat vehicles be unmanned by the far future date of 2015:

If JRPGs are your jam, you’d be better off just getting (or keeping) a 360 to play those. JRPGs are nearly non-existent on the Bone. Sony has that genre to themselves this go around.

Alternative definition of theft: taking something that doesn’t belong to you.

My 4 year old son loves this game. He’s played a variety of video games before but this is the first one to keep his attention for more than roughly 15 minutes. We haven’t even made it out of the “Battleground”, meaning, we’ve effectively been playing a gussied up menu for the past few days.

I look forward to actually

The first one had very solid and enjoyable competitive MP. It had an in-match currency system that let you buy upgrades and vehicles. Matches would usually start off as infantry fights but by the end, they were often tank battles due to everyone with the means buying up tanks.

Worst time of my life. My son was 10 months old when he got sick. He had a fever and threw up. I wasn’t terribly worried. Babies get sick, right? Normal. My wife knew something wasn’t right. Call it mother’s intuition or whatever you want. She just knew. She whisked him off to urgent care, while I stayed at home,

Thanks for the response. You are correct, 343 / MS is going to do whatever they think they can get away with in order to extract the maximum amount of money from the maximum number of people. I’m hopeful that in order to make their numbers work, they want to increase the user base with “free” map packs and DLC and

I’m totally on board with the Halo form of unlocks / upgrades. It worked very well in Mass Effect 3 - which was only co-op, so it was missing any pay-to-win angle. It was explained as supply drops, so it fit in with the lore but mechanically they were cards.

This article gives me a good excuse to share my love of the movie eXistenZ again. I also bring it up as a counter-point whenever anyone says there has never been a good video game movie. eXistenZ, written and directed by David Cronenberg, goes elbows deep into video game logic and explores just how weird and puzzling

The secret to these games and especially true of Battlefield is that good teams will almost always beat good players. Coordinate with your teammates, play the objectives and you’ll do shockingly well. The other tip I’d have is to *slow down*. Any time I’m struggling with a new shooter, I remind myself to slow down,

This is inaccurate. I’ve never worked in video games but I’ve been a software developer for over 10 years. Broken builds and smoke test failures are a relatively regular occurrence that don’t say anything at all about the quality or completeness of the software itself.

My wife is not nearly into gaming as much as I am but she got just as invested in this game as I do more traditional multiplayer fare. It was a blast and is sorely missed.

I’ve worked as a software developer for over 10 years, though never on a game. In commercial software, QA aren’t really viewed much differently from developers. The relationship between QA and dev in the game industry strikes me as totally unworkable. I can’t imagine being so disconnected from QA. I’ve literally sat

I assume they’re including the entire 360 VM with each 360 title you download. For each title, what you’re probably downloading is a 360 VM with your game installed to its (virtual) HD. From the Bone’s point of view, it’s just running another app (the 360 VM). They likely aren’t modifying the original 360 game code at
