I’m happy for you Halo fans, while this looks just okay to me, I’m guessing this looks really good to the core fans.

Maybe, Nioh is also fairly accurate in its Sengoku period events retelling (except the DLC), but like Sekiro and Onimusha, it has fantastical elements and anachronistic anime inspired artstyles. Ghost of Tsushima is the first video game where it’s just historical Japan without any of those.
This game is a first, I don’t think there’s a samurai game that attempted this kind of historical realism (ghost ninja not withstanding). Every other samurai game since the PS2 era, either has anime inspired aesthetics like J-Pop hairstyles and anachronistic fantastical costumes (Sengoku Musou, Sengoku Basara, Way of…
But it could be presented differently and we still can know a boss fight is about to start. All it needs is for the camera to pull behind Abby, still scared. It’s a series of connected locked room with lots of resources, we’ll figure out quickly we need to actually fight it pretty soon.
Actually no, I analyzed this boss fight on YouTube immediately after playing it for the first time. Abby is hitting The Rat King around the shoulder part, the stalker head that protrudes around the part she hits is different. The stalker that breaks off The Rat King is much lower, it practically acts as The Rat King’s…
It’s the 8 way digital control actually, Crash 2 and 3 are still amazing though.
The ones that are direct continuation of Naughty Dog trilogy are mediocre:
Why doesn’t it have “Only on PlayStation” label on it? it looks too empty, maybe it’ll look better if it has the label on the right?
I love hunting for safe combination codes in this game. The safe contents itself are rarely rewarding to me cuz of the way I play the game. I stealth my way through the entire game by meleeing everyone (safe for the very last parts), so my resources and bullets are almost always unused and full, I can rarely pick up an…
Personally, I have more problem with the tone and atmosphere of the boss fight, the mechanic itself is fine. The way the boss is revealed is masterfully well done. Everything leading to the boss fight has this eerie, suspenseful, scary tone, but Naughty Dog ruins it with one moment.
Oh crap, you haven’t finish the game, don’t read my sixth paragraph on when I think the game should end, I should’ve put a SPOILER tag.
I don’t think the visual of the violence is that much worse than Mortal Kombat or GOW TBH. It’s the feeling of it that makes it so impactful, the violence in this game is just so hateful. I can feel the hate with every throat Ellie slits, this is the first video game I’ve ever played that makes me feel this way.
Finally finished the game on Sunday. Great game, 9/10, but not as great as the first, 10/10.
Probably not God of War, since it will be like releasing Harry Potter 7 without releasing Harry Potter 1-6 first. Spider-Man maybe, but I feel like Sony would want to keep that PS exclusive for as long as possible to sell PS4 and PS5. Unless Marvel got involved like MLB did and force them to make the series…
So it has come to this, Sony has to release their games on PC as well for now on.
WTF?!? That headline and baby picture is a huge spoiler! I haven’t finished the game, a pregannt character’s fate is still mystery to me, thanks to that headline, at least I know the baby survives....
I think having a realistic art style is a mistake, they look close to the MCU designs and are gonna be compared to them, and frankly they don’t look as good:
This game looks off... it looks like a more expensive Dynasty Warriors or something, is combat the only gameplay in this game? The combat doesn’t even look that fun, it lacks urgency and impact.
God damn it Sony, Ready at Dawn should’ve been a Sony first party studio.
Could’ve been a good game. Ready at Dawn consists of talented former members of Naughty Dog and Blizzard. During their early years, aside from remastering Okami for the Wii, they mainly worked closely with Sony. They developed three of the greatest PSP games based on Sony’s first Party franchises: Daxter in 2006, GOW: …
